Terms of use

Agreement
By using re, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Our Privacy policy describes how we handle data.
The service
re lets you create QR codes that point at short links you control. You can change where scans go later without reprinting. The service is currently offered free of charge.
We may update features, limits, or availability. We will try to keep printed codes working, but we cannot guarantee every URL or third-party destination will stay online forever.
Accounts
You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and for activity under your account. Keep your password private. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must provide a valid email address. One person or organization should not maintain multiple accounts to evade limits or enforcement.
We store link destinations, optional link labels, and optional display names with field-level encryption at rest. See our Privacy policy for how account and link data are handled.
Your links and content
You control the URLs your codes open. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, encrypt, route scans to, and display your links and profile data so the service works.
That means you are responsible for:
- Where scans send people — including changes you make after printing.
- Making sure destinations are safe, lawful, and appropriate for your audience.
- Image uploads: you must own or have permission to use any image you upload.
- Image size limit: uploads must be 5 MB or smaller (JPEG, PNG, or WebP).
Acceptable use
Do not use re to:
- Phish, distribute malware, or deceive people about where a code leads.
- Send visitors to illegal content or activity.
- Spam, harass, or automate abuse of our APIs or scan endpoints.
- Probe or attack our infrastructure.
We may rate-limit, pause links, suspend accounts, or remove access when we believe use violates these rules or puts others at risk.
Visitor safety
re may classify destination URLs as low, medium, or high risk using automated checks. Low-risk destinations redirect visitors immediately. Medium- and high-risk destinations show an interstitial warning before redirect; visitors can still continue. Link owners are notified in the dashboard but are not required to change their destination.
Availability
re is provided as-is. We do not promise uninterrupted uptime or that the service will meet every use case. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Ending use
You may stop using re anytime and delete your account from account settings. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms or for operational reasons.
Changes
We may revise these terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
